Hair restoration surgery, also referred to as hair transplantation is a surgical procedure that transplants hair follicles from the back of the scalp to the hair loss affected area. In men, hair on the side and back of the head, the “donor area,” is genetically different from the hair on the top of the scalp and are resistant to the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and so are not subject to hair loss.
